A page from my sketchbook, drawn while commuting one afternoon. I was trying to evoke Moebius’s style from Alien, which I’d seen on the big screen just the evening before.
I drew this portrait of my girlfriend Victoria’s great grandfather based on a photo she keeps framed and on display at home. While his ears are large, I thought I’d emphasize them, though perhaps too much as Victoria describes them as “Prince Charles Ears.” I did this with a brush pen in my sketchbook as a study in light.
